Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday 8.15am-4.15pm, Friday 8.15am-3.45pm 

St John’s Catholic Specialist School is a school for young people up to 19 years with special educational needs. Our mission is to support our students to gain the knowledge and skills they will need to thrive in adult life.

We are looking for a caring, committed individual to join a team of experienced and supportive colleagues working in our busy and fast paced school office at St John’s Catholic Specialist School. Every day is different and staff work with pupils with a range of different needs which include sensory impairments, communication and learning challenges or autism. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team of dedicated professionals who are committed to providing the very best life chances for our students. 

The role includes: 

  • Welcoming pupils and visitors to School, dealing with telephone calls and enquiries, responding to emails.
  • General day to day office duties plus a range of many other varied admin tasks at the management’s discretion.
  • Recording of pupil information and managing databases
  • Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to the appropriate person and logging on the management system.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organised, pro-active, with excellent communication skills and customer focused; someone who works well in a team and is open to developing new skills.
