Qualified Nursery Deputy Manager

Salary: Minimum starting salary is £31,200 per annum
Hours: 40 hours Monday to Friday between 7:30am and 6pm
Contract: Permanent post all year round
Location: Horsforth, Leeds, West Yorkshire
Closing Date: Wednesday 10 December

An exciting opportunity to join Ducklings at St. Margaret’s, a long-established setting in Horsforth Leeds. 

We are looking for a Deputy Manager to work as a member of the nursery team, showing initiative and creativity to foster an environment which encourages the children’s all-round development and where high standards of care are provided and to be able to take over the running of the group in the absence of the Manager.

We need a reliable team member, working co-operatively and with flexibility.

Someone that understands that each child is an individual and has a general understanding of childcare and child development

We require someone who is qualified to (minimum) level 3 in Early Years to join our wonderful team of people, someone who has a good knowledge of the EYFS, someone who is passionate about providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to grow and learn at their own pace and be treated as an individual.

The post is full-time all year, with 6.5 weeks paid annual leave plus all bank holidays, enrolment in our pension scheme and a free uniform is provided for all Ducklings staff.

ESSENTIAL Requirements:

  • Early Years Level 3 qualification or above.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Minimum grade 4 (C) or above in English.
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience working within a nursery or educational setting.
  • Candidates must be able to carry out children's observations, assessments and planning to a very high standard and possess a good working knowledge of the EYFS framework.
