Are you organised, caring, and great with people? We’re looking for a friendly and proactive Primary Attendance Officer and Admin Assistant to join our welcoming team at Roundhay School - Primary Campus.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in our school community — supporting families to improve attendance, helping children to thrive, and helping to keep our busy office running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting Attendance

  • Monitoring and analysing pupil attendance data to spot trends and identify where support is needed.
  • Working closely with families to overcome barriers to attendance, offering encouragement and guidance.
  • Collaborating with pastoral teams and external agencies to help every child attend and achieve their best.
  • Promoting the importance of good attendance across our school community.

Administrative Support

  • Providing efficient, friendly admin support in our busy school office.
  • Handling a wide range of tasks such as:
    • Answering calls and emails with a smile (and a solution!).
    • Maintaining accurate records, filing, and data input.
    • Supporting school meals, milk, extended day, and extracurricular activities
    • Processing payments and managing orders for stationery and supplies.
    • Preparing letters, information packs, and other correspondence.
    • Helping with mail, photocopying, and general office duties.
    • Setting up meeting rooms and ensuring a warm, professional welcome for visitors.

Teamwork and School Life

  • Being a positive, helpful presence in our school community.
  • Ensuring visitors follow our safeguarding procedures.
  • Supporting colleagues and working flexibly to meet the needs of the school.
  • Using IT systems confidently (Word, Excel, and school databases).
  • Being willing to complete paediatric first aid training.
