Are you an experienced childcare professional looking for a leadership role in a thriving and supportive school environment?
The Grammar School at Leeds is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join our after-school care team, GSAL Owls, supporting children aged 3–11.
We’d love to hear from you if you have experience working with young children and a real passion for giving children the best start.
In this role, you’ll help to run our after-school provision day to day, stepping in for the Owls Manager when needed. You’ll be part of a friendly team who create fun, safe, and engaging activities for children, while also helping them feel happy and supported. You’ll also play a role in encouraging positive behaviour, meeting children’s individual needs, and following EYFS guidelines.
As well as working with the Owls team, you’ll spend some of your day supporting our early years colleagues in the classroom, especially at lunchtime or when cover is needed. Building strong relationships with children, parents, and carers will be at the heart of what you do.
We’re looking for someone with an NVQ Level 3 (or above) in early years, along with paediatric first aid and food hygiene training (or a willingness to complete these). Experience of leading or supporting a team would be a bonus.
If you’re warm, reliable, and excited about helping children to grow and thrive, we’d love you to apply.
