We are looking for a dynamic and creative Marketing and Events Co-ordinator to lead and develop marketing and communications activities within Lighthouse Futures Trust, as well as managing the internal and external events programme
Lighthouse Futures Trust is an SPI (Specialist Post-16 Institution) and a registered charity that was established in 2018. Our focus is on supporting young adults, aged 16- 25, to gain the social and employability skills they need to find and sustain paid employment.
Our principleprogrammes are:
Pre-internship: this lasts for 1 to 2 years and is primarily based on our college site but includes regular trips and business visits.
Supported internship: this lasts for 10 months and includes 3 to 4 days a week on site with a major local employer
Branching Out: this is a practical programme that lasts for 10 months which focuses on gardening/landscaping and other hands on roles.

Principal Responsibilities:
Regular updating of the website using WordPress, including refreshing content, updating news and events pages and maximising SEO.
Design, delivery and content creation for college social media including Facebook, Bluesky, YouTube and Instagram accounts.
Develop use of LinkedIn.
Support staff to use social media to promote the college and its activities.
Design and implement ongoing promotional campaign to recruit students to all programmes.
Prepare and distribute regular external newsletter(s).
Design and manage key events to promote the College including on-site Open Days, arranging and attending various school and city-wide careers fairs across the city and other promotional activities. Further develop relationships with feeder provisions.
Co-ordinate engagement activity (including taster days) with potential feeder schools, colleges, third sector organisations and other providers, to help create pathways to college, as part of the student recruitment campaign.
Co-ordinate design and delivery of Student Induction week, including promotion of all extra-curricular activities (through Freshers Fair).
Co-ordinate graduation ceremonies and other events to celebrate success throughout the year. Co-ordination and attendance at supported internship reverse job fairs.
