Low Ash Primary School is a large and vibrant two form entry primary school serving pupils from Nursery through to Year 6. Situated on the outskirts of Bradford, we proudly serve a diverse community where deprivation levels are slightly higher than the national average. Due to the promotion of the current post holder, Low Ash Primary School is seeking a dynamic Inclusion Leader to lead our SEND provision, safeguarding practices, and pastoral support team. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to shape the inclusive culture of our school and ensure every pupil thrives both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the SEND provision as the designated SENDCo, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and delivering personalised support to pupils with additional needs.
  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), championing child protection and safeguarding across the school.
  • Lead and develop the pastoral team to provide outstanding emotional and social support for pupils.
  • Collaborate strategically with senior leaders, staff, parents, and external agencies to promote inclusion and well-being.
  • Oversee and monitor the progress and welfare of vulnerable pupils, ensuring timely interventions.
  • Support and line-manage the Deputy SENDCo who leads a class of high needs pupils.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified SENDCo status or working towards it.
  • Proven expertise in safeguarding with the ability to fulfil the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead.
  • Demonstrable leadership experience in SEND provision and pastoral care.
  • Strong understanding of SEND legislation, safeguarding policies, and best practices.
  • Experience working with vulnerable children in a primary school setting.
