Overall purpose of the post:
TheFamily Practitioner will work as part of the Brigshaw Cluster Team to support children, young people, and their families by identifying and addressing barriers to learning and wellbeing. The post holder will provide early intervention support, working with schools, parents, and multi-agency partners to improve attendance, behaviour, social, emotional, and mental health outcomes.
This role focuses on building positive, restorative relationships with families to empower them to overcome challenges that impact children’s education and personal development. The Family Practitioner will coordinate interventions, provide practical guidance, and ensure that each child has the support they need to thrive in school and beyond.
Salary: SO1 - Scale point 23-25 (£34,434.00 - £36,363.00 Full time equivalent)
Hours: 3 days per week - TTO plus 5 days
Basis: Fixed term for 1 year initially
Start: W/C 23rd February 2026
Closing Date: 4th January 2026
