Are you passionate about early years education and ready to make a difference in a nurturing and inclusive environment? Do you thrive when working with children who present with challenging behaviour or have SEMH needs? Do you develop positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues?

If so, this could be just the role you are looking for!

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic EYFS/KS1 Behaviour Support Worker to join a fantastic team at Meadow Alternative Provision.

We offer:

  • Supportive management: Work with a leadership team that values its staff and promotes a collaborative, positive atmosphere.
  • Inclusive atmosphere: Join a team that are passionate about meeting the varied needs of vulnerable children from the local area.
  • A dynamic work environment: Positive, supportive colleagues provide an environment that is conducive to supporting the children in the best way.

Meadow is an alternative provision for Reception to Year 6 children with SEMH needs. We are based at Swinnow Primary School, but provide places for children from 35 schools in the west of Leeds. Children continue with their academic learning – including the Early Years curriculum - but also access a range of therapeutic style interventions to help them develop the skills they need to succeed at school. Some of our children are with us for 8 weeks; others have longer placements. Some of our children return to their original schools; others move on to a different school or specialist provision. The children receive high levels of nurture, support and guidance to succeed.

The successful candidate will work alongside our teacher in Orchard class (Reception, Y1 and Y2), supporting children with their behaviour and learning.

Working in Meadow isn’t always an easy role – but it is extremely rewarding. If you think this could be the challenge you are looking for, then we’d love to hear from you.

If you are interested in finding out more, please visit our website, telephone our manager – James Phillips – or even better come and have a look for yourself. Please contact our office team - or James - to make an appointment. We’d be delighted to meet you.
