Birchfield Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and personable cleaning assistant to ensure our busy primary school is cleaned to a high standard before the school day begins. This is a permanent position.

The ideal candidate will be hardworking, a team player who is capable of working unsupervised to undertake a variety of cleaning tasks including mopping, vacuuming, wiping of surfaces, removal of rubbish and dealing with reactive cleaning such as spillages and restocking of hygiene supplies. You will work with the wider team to ensure that the school building is clean and well maintained. Areas of school to be cleaned include offices, staffroom, classrooms and toilets as well as communal areas. The successful applicant may be required to work to support the deep clean schedule during the school holidays, and occasional school events where additional duties may include carpet cleaning and pressure washing of outdoor areas. The successful applicant will be required to carry out light manual handling duties and must be capable of following health and safety requirements.

The successful applicant will ideally have similar experience of cleaning in a business environment.
