As an award-winning college, we are looking for exceptional staff to join our team. We truly value our support staff who have a key role in supporting and developing our students. 

We are seeking a Careers Advisor to work within our Partnerships and Skills department to support the delivery of Careers Guidance to our increasing cohorts of students.

The successful candidate must be passionate about making a difference and be willing to engage with a variety of students of different ages. You will have the ability to work efficiently with professionals and curriculum staff to ensure a seamless service for students. Previous experience of working and supporting young people in an educational or careers guidance setting is essential for this role, alongside knowledge of the local recruitment market, further/higher education academic progression routes and issues relating to learning and employment.

You should be confident in delivering career-focused group workshops and carrying out 1-1 meetings with students to help them achieve their career goals. Excellent presentation skills are essential, as are good IT skills, excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.

You should be Level 4 Qualified in Information, Advice and Guidance and possess (or be willing to achieve) a Level 6 Qualification in Career Guidance and Development to reach the CDI Licence requirements. You should also possess GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C/9-4 or Level 2 Equivalent.

You must be approachable, have excellent listening skills, possess the ability to motivate young people and be committed to maintaining high professional standards.
