Salary: £30,024 per annum (subject to annual pay settlement)
Hours: Max. 37 per week 
Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract (Secondment from Leeds City Council will be considered) *

About this job

UNISON has a national membership of 1.3 million, and we service over 8,000 of them in our Leeds UNISON Local Government Branch, approx. one third of which are in the employed outside of Leeds City Council.  We’re looking for an experienced Branch Caseworker to join our team and offer support to our members in the private sector and academies on a 12-month temporary contract.

This is a key role in our branch, and you will bring:

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Patience and understanding
  • A detailed understanding of Equality principles and legislation
  • An understanding of trade unions and what they do
  • A commitment to supporting our members in their workplaces
  • Ability to review and understand local terms and conditions
  • An eye for detail and accuracy
  • Experience of using MS Office 365 applications
