Bankside Primary School and Children’s Centre is large inner city Primary School in Harehills, Leeds. It is an exciting time to join our wonderful team as we embark on the next stage of our school improvement journey. We are looking for an exceptional teacher and Senior Leader, who will inspire our pupils and staff to be their Bankside Best every day. Our focus is on excellent teaching and learning linked to research and pedagogy, our Senior Leaders are role models to our staff in the classroom, exemplifying our high expectations for all of our pupils to achieve. We are looking for a leader who passionately believes that children at our school in Harehills, CAN and WILL achieve their full potential.
Our headteacher led a restructure of our Senior Leadership team in June 2024 adding further capacity and layers of leadership. Our leadership team have a sharp focus on ensuring coherence and consistency in expectation all the way through our large primary school. This new structure is working well and we are keen to hear from candidates who will add further strength to our existing team.

At Bankside, we focus on Putting Down Strong Roots For Successour curriculum aims to provide a broad and balanced offer that prepares our pupils for the next stage of their education and provides enrichment to broaden children’s experiences and understanding.
Our staff work collaboratively and we carefully plan our teacher’s PPA so they can be released together to promote this approach.
