The following information tells you about the different features of the site and offers helpful tips to make applying for a job at LCC faster and easier.
My job search
This facility enables you to search for jobs that match any combination of the following criteria:
• Occupation
• Location
• Salary
• Working Pattern
• Keyword.
Tip: If you are looking for a particular vacancy and know the job reference number, type this into the key word search function to view the job details.
All jobs
Here you can view all the Council’s current vacancies. Click on more details to learn about the job and guidance for applicants. You can also choose to Apply Now if you wish.
Tip: We strongly recommend that you click on the more details link to view the full advert and all the information in the Before Applying section. The Job Information, which contains detailed information about the job and the selection criteria, is a particularly useful document.
Applying On-Line
When you have found a job that interests you, click on either the Job Title or More Details link, which will provide you with further details about the opportunity. If you then wish to apply, click Apply Now
If you are new to our jobs website, this option will first ask you to register and create a profile. You can then continue with your application.
If you have applied for a job with us before, your application form for this job will be automatically populated with the information contained in the last application form that you completed. You can then update and tailor your application form for the current job.
Once you have completed the application form click the Save & Preview button which will give you the opportunity to make any final amendments before submitting it.
You will receive an e-mail acknowledgment confirming that we have received your application. Attached to the e-mail will be a copy of your submitted application for your information.
My Account
My Account enables you to manage your applications and profile, register for job alerts and create a searchable profile:
My profile
Allows you to modify your registration/personal details or change your password.
Application History
Enables you to manage your applications.
Email alerts
Enables you to receive automatic notification by e-mail when jobs arise that match your chosen criteria.
